K8L always had quad core mentioned with it. I know it's a native quad core design and that the QC K8L is coming in 2008. So my question is: is a dual core K8L in the works? I don't think it's been officially confirmed. if it has, when is it coming out? will it be AM2 compatible? Links please....

Neither Quad Core nor Dual Core K8L has been "Officially Announced"...however, it has appeared in leaked internal documents. The best info I have seen is that dual core K8L is due in H1 07, and Quad core is due at the end of 2007 or early 08.
Dual core K8L is still (AFAIK) to be AM2 for desktop, and Socket F for server...

Hey Viditor, could you put the links for the info you shared above. I know that dual core k8L hasn't been announced but I did hear something about dual core K8L in 1H 07. would you know anything about it? thanks.
