Dual channel ram

hi i just wanna know as long i buy a DDR SDram that is the same brand, same 512mb, bascially everything the same, but the ddr ram did not state that its a dual channel kit, just a normal PC3200 ddr ram. So if i were to put it beside my existing DDR SDram it will run like dual channel rams? I have a mobo that supports dual channel..

They should you may have to slow the timings down. Have to set timings manually instead of by spd. Since both sticks might have different spd settings. If you can find out the spd settings use the slower of the two if they are not the same.

even when they are exactly the same? same brand, same CL 2.5?

If they're the exact same brand, model, etc. you should be fine.
