Dual channel problems????

I just build a new computer

E6400 Conroe
P5B Deluxe
2x 1GB DDR2 800 Samsung memory
Nvidia 7900GTX
SB X-FI


Anyways, when I install my memory in dual channel configuration, I actually get TAD slower framerates (not much), and sisoft sandra says my memory bandwith is exactly the same. But my motherboard says dual channel on the main screen when you boot up...............

What would cause this???????????


I am not worried to much more, this computer gets 3x the frame rates in games and is quieter than my old computer (which was a Athlon 64 3000+, 1GB RAM, 6800GT).

But I am curious what would cause this.
 
anyone else have a problem with dual channel giving them no or worse performance than single channel?
