Dual Channel Problem

I just got a stick of 512mb Kingston Hyperx pc4000 and the one i had in the system pny 512 pc3500
Now i know i can downclock and change Cas on the pc4000 so it maches the pny one that is ok but
before i instaled the kingston my memory was running on 478mhz ddr now they are runing in dual channel on
382 DDr and in the bios it is set to run the memory on 400 mhz ddr anyone got any idea what is going on i know The pny memory can go to 490mhz ?
 
Ok i just had the same problem with PC3200 when i stick 512MB in my system reduced the memory speed from 400MHZ to 333MHZ, i am also trying to find out what causing this problem i tried so many different memories i mean all types with similar Modules, but nothing is working looks like i am stuck with 512MB only.
