Dual Channel DDR

OK sometime im planning on upgrading and getting a nforce2 board with Dual DDR. I know teh 2 stick or ram should be teh same size and speed. but is there anything else that i shoudl worry about here. same brand matter? or just size and speed IE 512 PC2700??

If you're going to be getting two sticks, might as well order from same place.
If you're ordering from same place, might as well get identical sticks.

Certainly couldn't hurt.

i allready have 1 512 PC2700 stick i only need 1 more thats why i ask. id get another 512 PC2700 but do teh brands or anything else have to match

They don't have too, no. Just save yourself the trouble and buy good ram anyway (mushkin, crucial, corsair, pny)

Yeah, it's a really good idea to match them. Mixing RAM, even though it should be fine in theory, doesn't always work properly.

more appoprite then hot deals. and i posted in Gen hardware but after 45 min i didnt get a responce

so i posted here knowing id get one fast

and thanks to thoes that had something insightfull to say. i think my chip now is Crucial or Corsiar i cant remember but newegg has 512s PC2700 from crucial samsung and corsiar for all about 75 so im gonna grab one
unless mu sweet of HD reveals one for less
