Dual Cable Modems?

Is it possible to setup a dual cable modem rig? Something using Multilink. Kind of like bonding two 56k modems except instead of using PPP you would use tcp/IP to get a really fast connection.
 
You would think there isn't but there is, usually for 2 tcp/ip links, it's better to run BGP but for home, it'll cost too much. I gotta find the software link. There is one, that lets you bind multiple, cable, dsl, dialup into 1.. the name escapes me but i shall return..
 
My question about cable, and I asked this before but no one really responded is... Since cable is supposedly based on this huge lan setup, even if you put 2 cable modems wouldn't you really only get the same amount of max download speed unless you are capped?
 
That says it works with dsl and t1 lines, where if you ordered more than one you would actually get a multiple of performance, I'm still trying to find out if you would get the same thing or not over cable?
 
There's this R7100 SDSL Router too. But I'm sure it ain't cheap either.

Someone with money could try getting two broadband connections and try using two Intel server NIC's that are "teamed" together. It might work.
