Dual boot

I have 2 HDs, the first with a primary active partition and a second logical partition, and the second disk with 1 primary partition.-
I am actually using XP32 and want to install XP64, so I can select from each one to boot, and run MS Flight Simulator X without memory problems.-
May I install it in my second disk in its unique partition ?
In that case must I reinstall all my aplications and games again in the new OS ?

Dual boot should be OK for that. Personally, I prefer a solid hardware solution. This is how I can triple boot simply by key switch drive selection.

Sure. There are three SATA mobile racks (Vantec EZ-Swap.) Each one contains a complete system HDD with all software installed. Two are Win 7 and one is Vista. Each rack has a key switch that turns the drive on or off. If I want to run Vista, I turn on HDD 3 and the others are off. If I want to run Win 7, I turn on either 1 or 2 and leave the others off.

HDD 3 is duplicated on an external USB drive as a back up if needed.

As an example, I can try out Win 7 with beta ware on HDD 2 and always have HDD 1 as a full system back up. If something goes awry with the betaware, then I can always clone HDD 1 to HDD 2 and be completely back to normal.

Thanks for your explanation, but I have a doubt, I made a search in internet for the Vantec EZ-Swap, and cannot see any switch on it.-
 
It is under the silver thingy on the right. That flips open and you insert a standard key.

Key

It is like having completely different computers in one box.

When unlocked the drive tray is easily slid out. You can replace it with a spare tray and different drive. The key locks it in place and turns it ON. Off = unlocked.
