Hi all,

I'm having issues with trying to setup a dial boot system with Win98SE and W2K on SATA_RAID drives. I'll post the system specs below but the problems are one or the other OS will not see the drive(s) depending on my setup method.
On the ASUS K8V Deluxe mobo are two SATA RAID controllers (VIA 8237 and Promise FastTrack.) When using the VIA, W2K has no problem seeing/installing on the drives but Win98 will not; on the Promise controllers it's the exact opposite.

I probably need a specialized boot.ini or boot loader, but have no idea where to begin. I checked the site faqs for dual boot scenarios; they don't specifically deal with my situation.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, I did create the appropriate driver disks. Even after loading on the W2K partition during W2K setup, Setup will not see the hard drives. Win98SE won't allow you to add additional drivers during setup, driver install was done within W98SE (Add/Remove Hardware)

Anyone else?

Could you try slipstreaming?

I know you can do this with xp, is it possible to slipstream the drivers into a 98 installation, then reinstall 98 as a repair or do a
sfc \scannow, or was it
sfc /scannow - think it was this one!
