dual boot side-effects?

i'm thinking of making a Win98se/LinuxMandrake dualboot on my machine... will it have any side effects, (i.e. a slow down or conflicts between the two OSes)? thanks.

There should't be any substantial slowdown. The boot time might go up a several seconds since you have to choose which OS you will boot up with, but aside from that (and less disk space for Win9x), there shouldn't be any interference.
