dual boot problem

I have an A7V and 2 hard drives ? one (IBM GXP75 45gb) connected to the Primary ATA100 as a master, running Win98 SE and the other an older Western Digital 2gb connected to the primary IDE channel as a master. I want to load NT onto the WD and have tried a few times unsuccessfully to do this (I must mention that I?m using Partition Magic 5 along with boot magic). The first time I tried I was able to get NT up and running but Boot magic didn?t see NT so I would have to go to the BIOS and change the booting order to switch between OS?s. That wasn?t going to do so I tried to follow some instructions in the owners manual that came with PM. I moved, created and formatted some partitions and tried again and reloaded NT. This time I have problems running NT and Boot Magic will recognize it, but won?t boot it. I was getting some message about NTDetect. How do I get this to work?

If you're using NT 4.0 the boot sector must be FAT16 or NTFS. It cannot be FAT32. I have never used Boot Magic so I'm assuming you have that set up correctly.

don't use a 3rd part boot manager ...NT has one built in, remove the 3rd party stuff. You have probably alreay corrupted the nt boot files so..try again
