I'm currently dual-booting Vista & 7 on my main hard drive.
Since Vista is my main OS (for now) & I do have an AV on it, will I need an AV on the partition that has 7?

Yes, if you want active protection while you're in that particular O/S. If you just use A/V for scanning, having it in one O/S will cover you.
