Few questions..

one of my 2400+ XP's fried a while ago, been running with single cpu. Having no luck finding a 2400+XP to replace it...

Can I use a 2200+ or 2600+ If its multipliers are unlocked and still bridge the L5 bridge to turn it into an MP and just overclock or underclock it?

Can I also use a mobile chip?

Generally yes. Do your research first, as itll depend on the mobo etc, some might not play nice.

But yah you can mod an XP chip and use it either at the same speed or a different speed. Different speeds arent reccommended but i think it still works anyways. You can use a mobile chip too, or dependant on the core etc you can mod the XP to a mobile anyways.

You'll definitely be better off getting an XP-M. Of course, you'd be much better off with getting two of them. I would expect problems if you try to mix one 256KB cache chip, like your 2400, with a 512KB cache XP-M. Although, it seems like they made a few 256KB L2 cache XP-M's, right before they quit making them.
