Props to Crazee for posting this first over in Distributed Computing... check out THIS board! :Q Obviously this is aimed at some niche of the server market, perhaps 2U servers, but I find it quite intriguing nonetheless :D

Have fun cooling that beast! Two O/C'd 1600+ would be a great on that rig. Anyone have any reviews?

All it needs now is an AGP slot in addition to the 64bit pci slot. Then and only then will I buy it :).

I think he and some other want a SFF system that has Dual AMD goodness.\

That be pretty cool, a system as small as some of the Shuttle ones with Dual CPU's.

With the Heat from 2 MP's? In a SFF environment? Including IDE tempeture? 2 VRM Tempetures? In a small 'cute' box? Sounds like a good idea to me!:confused:

If only they could come up with an AGP slot, I think their their sales would drastically increase...i feel like amd's lagging behind intel again in this regard.

It's not like AMD makes the board

Wonder how the price of this board would compare with the current AMD 762 offerings? I'd love a dual mobo for my Linux box (the SCSI controller would finally be able to take advantage of the 64-bit PCI slot), but the prices thus far have been too rich for my blood.

You can get a dual 760mpx board for less tha $199 now, and a set of Athlon XPs for around $100

I love my Dual Athlon system

What OS and applications are you fella's using your Dual Amd setups with? I'm interested in upgrading to a dual cpu setup with Windows XP Professional. Thanks in advance.

I am also using Win XP Pro for a OS.
Board = Chaintech 7KDD
Ram= 3 X Crucial 256mg Reg. ECC PC2100
Video = Radeon 8500 (retail)
Sound = On-Board AC97 (Not bad)
Ethernet = Compaq Dual port card 64bit/66Mhz

But the system is 100 stable. Not the fastest gaming system as it is tuned more for stability, and not games like a KT400 or nForce2. But I love being able to do more than one thing at a time and each CPU will do one thing and keep you trucking rigth along.
Also to anybody new, you can use Athlon XP's in dual mode if you connect the last L5 bridge

Super Cool! Should I upgrade from my trusty ECS K7S5A system?! Would a Antec TruPower 330 (330watt) ps be enough for 2 1600+ athlonxp's? I like the idea of running multiple applications, CAD, photoshop, audio software simultaneously and quickly!..or even playing games and still have cpu cycles for other tasks like photorendering etc!
