hands down the 7900GT's. i haven't checked up on prices since they launched though...isn't the 7900GTX cheaper? i'm sure it'll draw less power, be cheaper, and be more than enough for whatever game you'll be playing

well some guy wants to trade in two 7900 gt's in for my 7900 gtx

In 3dmark05 the Dual 7900 gt's score abt 13,000

a 7900 gtx scores around 11,000

I wouldn't say hands down, its close untill you turn up the settings. The 3dmark score I only look at if all other benches are the same😛 and to brag of course. The 7900gtx, like alimoalim said, is a lot more economical.

Why would anyone trade those two cards in for a gtx? 😕

Is he a respectable trader? If not he may be taking you for a ride.

Maybe the 2 GTs are taking up too much room in his case and he needs to add something?

I've heard that before. I doubt it's true though.
If it's discontinued, it only means that they're only making the 7950gtx now.

Anyway, the op should definitely make the trade.

I'd keep the GTX personally. Less performance, but more options for the future. Plus, I find that SLI cards get in the way a lot. Unless you SERIOUSLY need the performance, just keep your card.
