Calling all DirecTV employees. I'd like the info too if there are no objections. My cable is worthless! Pm me or e-mail me.

Thanks,

The thing about the friends and family deal is that you do not get a choice on the dish and reciever.
How about a HOT DEAL?

800.com has the RCA Deluxe Dual LNB DIRECTV System DS4280RE for $179.94. This baby has optical out. Check it out here:
http://www.800.com/prod.asp?p=2909
Their other DirecTV systems are well below $200.00 with a dish and receiver.

As an added bonus you get free professional installation . . . just like the friends and family deal.

More?
Sign up by April 11, and depending on the service . . . you get up to $200.00 rebate.
http://www.directv.com/about/abouttablepages/0,1271,401,00.html

Basically you get a dish, receiver, professional installation, and cash $$$ back. This sounds like a hot deal to me. I am not sure if you get the rebate with the friends and family deal, can someone input info? If so, get $200.00 with a free receiver, dish . . . etc.

Should I start a new thread for "FREE DIRECT TV DISH, RECEIVER, INSTALLATION, AND CASH$$$"

DaveS

Note - You need a 1 year agreement for this deal.

More?
How about Outpost.com? They have one for $49.99 (dish, receiver, installation, and get it overnight with no shipping) and get $200.00 rebate . . . GET PAID $150.00 CASH IN THIS DEAL! (Search for sku# T1391)

I'm looking for a Dual LNB that has optical out using the DISH network (more bang for your buck than DirecTV). Unless you're a sports freak, DISH has better entertainment packages.

Check out the prices at dbs sales.

I bought my Dish Network Dolby Digital 4922 system there for less than $30. $15 to ship. Great customer support too! You do have to agree to one year of programming, but that wasn't an issue with me. And you still qualify for $199 rebate and three free months of movies!

If you get in on any of these deals, do you have to sign up for service?

I've had Direct TV for abbout 1.5 years now and love it. There is more on than I could ever want to see. I have a Dual LNB and share it with my neighbor who is also a football fan. We get all the sports we can throw our $ at and we don't have to watch the WNBA.

OuterSquare you do not have to sign up for service when you purchase the equipment 'til it is installed and you call it in...kind of like the way they do cell phones now a days.

I have the same question. I currently have directv with two receivers
but want a new receive box. Is the $50 my walk out the door price or is there the hook that it is for 1st time subscribers only? Very confusing.

the deal is over at Radioshack. HOWEVER!!! That price is walk out the door no stupid service contracts. I bought two.. my limit. That article on slashdot is bs. Yes it worked on the cards currently installed. It does nothing to an emulator. Good luck!
