I do a search in my area....and wow!! broadband are cheaper than I thought....9.99 per month...13.99/month.....god damn! I never knew broadband was this cheap already! The only thing holding me back is ..none of their names I am familiar with :(
So I supposed they are some local broadband service providers then...anyone have experience with no-brand broadband service provider?

If some bum living in a cardboard box under the Burnside Bridge could supply fast, reliable broadband, I would buy it. I can't live without my broadband. I'm on dialup right now and I'm fvcking hating it. :( :(

I'm considering 1.5mbps/128kbps DSL w/ 6 month static IP for $35.99/month

...

Or 768kbps/768kbps w/ 6 6-month static IPs for $160/month :p

where I live, I only have 2 choices for internet. dial up or dsl. Of course I'm on dsl but 1.5/256 costs me $60/month. I had 512/256 at one time for $45/month but, like you, wanted something even faster. Damn sprint/earthlink has the market cornered down here and I can't get noone else.

Eli, that's with Comcast. And the Cable TV technically isn't "free" though. If you buy cable TV and cable internet, you get a discount on the internet price, making the finally price exactly the same as if you had only cable internet.

Yes, Comcast blows. I want a static IP (and I fvcking hate Comcast with a burning furvency) so I'm going to probably go with DSL instead --which is cheaper anyway. :) Then I can get the basic cable TV service (if I absolutely have to have it) and have an overall cheaper bill. :)
