TOMZ is a very ambitious and dedicated member to his team. However, his views do not reflect the views of the team as a whole as you can see by the fact that the thread was locked. Since it was locked as far as we should be concerned it is a dead issue. Also many kudos to OCUK for their great integrity.

I don't mean to bash TOMZ or anything, if we were down by as much as they are I'm sure some of our members would come up with some pretty outragious ideas also. He is just trying to find ways help his team and has gotten a little missguided IMHO.
 
do you really thing some of our halo waring members could come up with something like this......uhh......no...........something better and not so public.......😀

I am most appreciative of that.

What i don't get is what good would asking for 10,000 wu's do when were going to beat them by 50,000 🙂 😉

i would ask all those that post in here to keep it pleasant please, whilst i agree that loyalty to OcUK goes a bit deeper than this sort of thing, i can understand the frustrations DSLR are going through when you are being outcrunched by sheer weight of crunchers. >>



I wonder if he knows they have more members than us? 😀 "Sheer weight" indeed. 😀 It is the quality of our crunchers man, the quality! 😉

Probably not. I haven't tried to run down the source cited for this, but I'm guessing that it is looking at our "gross" growth in WU's, and not the "net" WU's that the race ROE call for by subtracting out our huge "handicap." E.e., count that "handicap" and 3:1 might well be plausible. And those are meaningful numbers for the long haul, if we can keep all the recent additions to the TeAm, but they don't count for the race. So in that sense, the poster was probably a little misinformed.

There are a couple of references about AnandTech having more "Crunchers" than DSLR...?!? hehe! 😛

Also, the mention that AnandTech would make a "Similar" deal if that deal would have worked?

I don't feel like registering over there and really don't know those guys to post....if only they knew though 🙂

I have to say that it doesn't bother me. Seems to me like he was just tossing an idea around. He wants to win the race, and he's thinking from all(at least from a different) angle(s). It doesn't benefit their club, as it appears that he(they) would be trading for the WUs now with the future WUs. Personally, I think it's kinda cheesy, but I dunno... Give the man a cookie for raising his hand in the quiet classroom, I guess.
