I used to have Southwestern Bell (SWB) DSL. 1.5down/256 up. I regularly saw 120kb/s which isn't bad. Payed $50/mo + regular phone bill. In the 2+ years I had it, it was down three times for maybe 1/2 day each time. I was happy with it.
I switched to Roadrunner. I live in "poor" complex...not many people can afford RR...but I can. Hell, 1/2 of them are Section 8, but that's another rant in another thread. The point is: All your bandwith belong to me.
So, now I pay $40/mo + cable bill. I regularly see 230-250kb/s down.

However, RR has been down quite a bit...not lately, but that's b/c of all the bitching I've had to do...I think they replaced the lines in my neighborhood. Literally.
