DSL Speed Monitor?

I am looking for a good (and free) internet speed monitor. Something small, on screen that I can look at to monitor how my DSL is working. I know there are many programs out there, what is the best and free? Thanks in advance!

I love DU Meter. Also keeps a log of the total amount you have downloaded/uploaded for each month.

DU meter says its FREE to try, and then you pay to buy.. does it expire or anything?? I was curious to see if my connection lagged or dropped at any point, will this do the job?
