dsl speed for dialup - whats proxyconn.com all about?

i just know that earthlink has premium dialup where they cache a lot and recompress pics/graphics until its a mush pile.
 
They are based in Irvine, CA. Maybe I should drive down there, knock on their door and ask them what's this BS is all about.
 
I'm satisfied with my dialup speeds so far. No kidding. See how many posts I have. And I don't have any ads or other crap like that b/c I use the free Proxomitron proggy. Of course, broadband is faster. But since I don't play online games and the broadband traffic where I live costs about 8 cents per megabyte, I don't even think about going broadband at home. I would have to pay many times the money I pay now, and wouldn't be able to download anything anyway (like 600+ MB files, for example). Curiously enough, for such files the dl speed is always lower than 5KB/sec so I'm not missing out on anything I guess.

Of course it is. They charge about $9/month. That's all the entire of dialup thing is worth, why double the price, he-he...
 
ur renting their proxy...
basically they have proxy servers all around that caches traffic and pages, etc...
and u access the web through them so its faster. Not for all sites and definitely not for
downloads...mainstream sites will load faster since its been cached.

imo..not worth it...and its scammy to call it 'DSL speed'.
