I'm paying for 256/128kb DSL but I, seemily, my DSL is uncapped. I have downloaded files at 225KB and upload at around 50KB. What is going on here?? Did my ISP/Phone company set up my line incorrectly??

What does 256/128kb DSL mean exactly? Is that referring to the respective downstream/upstream? If so, you're lucky you downloaded 225 KB/s (kilobytes per second) with only a 256 kb (kilobits per second) downstream.

128 kb/s = 16 KB/s, so again you're exceeding the advertised rates.

If you know B from b.

Your service is about 2Mb/sec down and 400Kb/sec up(???).

If I had such a situation on my DSL, I will be very quiet not to wake the Dragon.
