I called Friday and Ordered DSL through SBC-Yahoo 768-1.5mb Down/256k Up. The Rep told me I should get the DSL modem on tues but the service wont be on until Friday. Has anyone here gotten thier modem and went ahead and installed it and it worked??? Im Tired of Dialup would rather not wait till friday, lol. One good thing that she told me is the Swith is about 2blks from my house so I should get a nice full 1.5mb speeds. 😀
 
When you get the modem, just plug it in. When the lights go green, you're sync'd. I've had dsl installed 3 times (moved) and always got it a day or two early.

It all depends on if they're provisioned (setup) the circuit at the CO (Central Office). If they haven't, it might still sync up, but you won't get any service. Ain't it nice to wait?
 
itll prolly sync but your service isnt on so youll get nothing
i know how ya feel, im getting fiber next week =]
