DSL modem router combo

Anyone own the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router?

I am looking to replace my Westell 327W, I have to turn it off/on everyday for the wireless to connect. I have try 3 Westell 327W so far and they all seem to have the same problem.

Get a Real Wireless Router (Modem/Router combos are very mediocre devices at best).

Try to set the Westel as a Modem only and use the new Router as the main Device.

yup run the modem as a modem,or bridged, setup a router ( i like the dual-wan virtualized pfsense) going to a switch (decent vlan switch could use reduce wiring procurve 1810G-24) then hang a wifi AP or two off the gigabit - (WZR 2.4ghz 300 or 450 airstation ) - super solid design.

modem -> router(hard or soft) -> switch -> ap = win win.
