So i just checked my ping for xblive and its right around 100. I have dsl service and I am running my xbox through a new 5 port hub. Two computers and the xbox are the only things I have on it. Below is a link to the results of my dsl speed test. If I bump my dsl service up to the next level will it help my ping times for xbox live?

Thanks in advance

Isn't less ping the better? Aside from that, an increase to 3.0M BPS DSL may help, but most likely your bottlenecks are out of your hands. The server on the other end or switches that lie between you and the destination are probably strained. Unless the speed is horrible, you shouldn't have too much of a problem with 100 ping...

Your speed results seem fine - I get about 30-50ms ping with my UK 512k DSL service, so unless your ISP or the XBox Live service is experiencing congestion, I'd take a look to see if the other two computers are active on the Internet - things like Automatic Updates, browsing etc.

oops...i guess my fingers and my brain got confused. 100 isnt too bad but I would be willing to pay a little to make it better.

When I ran the test nothing else was running.

So if I do bump up then I could experience a lower ping, but then again it possible that it could stay the same?

It's likely that it'll stay the same, if you have a 1Mbps service already. You may see a slight decrease though.

Its very unlikely, unless they up your upload that a higher package is going to help much

My cable runs at a download rate of just over 3000 and an upload of 350 and I always have a ping of around 30 to 40 with my lowest being 7 (the server must have been in my neighborhood). So if its worth the extra money you could increase your dsl bandwith or get cable.
