having some issues trying to get any sort of overclock out of my DS3. Pretty much started by following this guide:
http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware...erclocking-Guide-v1-ftopict197995.html
Mainly to get an idea of what to disable and where to start as I have only had experience OCing AMD stuff several years ago. Ipretty much skipped step 3 of the guide as I dont really want to mess with voltages unless I have to. I want to get the most out of the stock voltages first. My problem starts when I turn the CPU Host Clock to manual and set it to 333mhz, the starting point the guide sugests. Once I do and try to reboot, my PC will just sit with all the fans at full rpm and not do anything. I then have to clear the cmos in order to get it to boot.
Like I said you can pretty much describe me as a noob at this as I havent done a C2D OC before and the last OC I did was years ago, so please be kind if I just made a stupid mistake. Any help is apreciated. (Specs are in my sig, using F8 bios)
