DS Lite + Cyclops card or iPod touch 8GB?

I have the chance to get the iPod touch 8GB this weekend for $230. I was planning on getting the DS Lite until I saw that. Now I priced it out, and to get the DS Lite with a Cyclops modcard, and a MicroSD card would cost about $200 total. I plan on mainly running NES and SNES emulators on whatever I buy. The web browsing and other features of the iPhone make it really appealing, and I'm not sure there would be that many DS games that would interest me. I have an aging 4th gen b/w 20GB iPod I need to replace at some point. Can anyone sell me on one or the other?

I think the iPod touch ends up being a gimic unless you have some reason for web browsing constantly while you are listening to music and are around a wifi hotspot. Is 8/16gb big enough for your music collection? There are plenty of good hard drive mp3 players in your price range.

Consider getting a PSP for PSone emulation, that might be a bit more appealing than the ds lite. I think it does SNES and NES emulation too, but don't quote me on that one.

8GB is big enough for the music collection I would take with me. The PSP doesn't appeal to me all that much for some reason. Plus can the new ones still be unlocked? The iTouch does all the things I would do on a DS, plus some. Any other opinions?

I personally love my DS. If there are games that interest you on the DS I'd go for it. Of course I've got a I use Zune for mp3 playback so I don't need a mp4 player. I'm planning on picking up and R4 and microSD for mine whenever I get around to finding a site with it in stock.

The touch is tempting but doesn't have enough space for me, and I'm too lazy to selectively load music on it.

If your iPod isn't broken no reason to replace it. Get the DS Lite it will be better equipped for what you want to do.

Get both. Before I got my Touch, I used Moonshell to watch videos on my DS+R4. Now, the DS is back to just playing games. Ultimately, you can't go wrong with either though.

get the DS....the touch will get more storage down the road...you can always get higher capacity microSD cards and switch them out whenever...

*goes back to playing R4 on a ds lite*
