DS games worth owning.

What Nintendo DS games are worth owning?

What multiplayer (with other systems) and online multiplayer games are popular?

Post your reviews with 1-5 rating. 1 being crap, 2 Bad, 3 good, 4 great and 5 being must have. Let's avoid listing bad games.

Try not to re-post a review of a title that someone else posted but give a quick 1-5 rating of that title the other person has posted. Let's see how big this list gets with titles DS owners should be playing.

Bust-A-Move: 5

Nanostray 2: 5

Nanostray 1: 4

MarioKart DS: 5

Worms: Open Warfare 2: 4

Chrono Trigger DS: 5

Super Mario 64 DS - 4 Nice nostalgia factor if you've played Mario 64 before. Even if you've played Mario 64 to death, the minigames are worth it. If you haven't played Mario 64 before, this is a 5.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - 5
Phoenix Wright Justice for All - 5
Phoenix Wright Trials and Tribulations - 5
Apollo Justice Ace Attorney - 5

My favorite DS series. Flat out amazing games.

Thanks keep em coming. Now I know some titles to snag.

I hear Metroid Prime Hunters is a must.

Does anyone play any DS games online?

Mario Kart DS is amazing online. Very fun, lots of players. I've never played Metroid Prime Hunters online but I hear that's great online also.

New Super Mario Bros is a great platformer. It combines all the classic elements of the original Mario series with a bunch of fun new stuff.

New Super Mario Bros. - 3.5 - It's not the best 2D mario platformer by ANY means (okay maybe graphics), the level designs suck ass but it's still a 2D mario platformer so it's still good.

Mario Kart DS - 4.5 - Amazing game, really fluid graphics engine, great online play and overall solid gameplay mechanics; lots of replay value, still requires skill unlike MK Wii.

Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow; Portrait of Ruin; Order of Ecclesia - 5 - This series on the DS is definitely a must-have, all three games are amazing, have tons of replay value and offer a lot of content backed with addictive and deep gameplay mechanics.

Ace Attorney 1-3 (Phoenix Wright); 4 (Apollo Justice) - 5 - Word of warning here: if you do not like point and click adventure games that require a LOT of reading, a lot of patience, lots of paying attention and lots of logic and puzzle solving, then avoid this suggestion altogether. This is my favorite DS series along with Castlevania, the writing is superb, the cases are creative and engaging and it always takes a lot of logic to beat the puzzles (there are almost no idiotic things like in other adventure games like Monkey Island), the characters are extremely fleshed out and all have a distinctive personality of their own and the story has a genuine emotional impact, the music in particular, is just brilliant. Like I said before, it's not a game for everyone but for those that can enjoy it, it's amazing.

Pokemon Platinum - 4 - It's classic Pokemon, if you enjoyed the previous games then this is just more of the same; if you didn't like the previous game then skip this one altogether; if you are new to the series, platinum is a great place to start.

There are a bunch of other great games on the DS as well, Elite Beat Agents, Professor Layton, Trauma Center, Contra 4, N+, GTA Chinatown Wars, Henry Hatsworth, The World Ends With You, Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword, Mario & Luigi Partners in Time, Final Fantasy (the remakes, the RTS based on FFXII and Crystal Chronicles), Chrono Trigger remake and a bunch of other great games.

Call Of Duty: World At War - 3 - It's a pretty engaging handheld FPS game. Haven't had a chance to battle online, but I hear it's pretty cool.

I hear Metroid Prime Hunters is a must.

I tried playing it, but it kills my hands, so I gave up.

If you like the series, Dragon Quest 5 is good.

Clubhouse Games - 5 - Its a bunch of flat-out fun games. I've spent sooooo much time playing all the card and action games it isn't funny.

GTA CT Wars - 5 - Classic GTA meets 3D.

Mario Hoops 3 on 3 - 4 - Really fun, yet extremely difficult!

Bomberman Touch! 2 - 5 - Classic bomberman with amazing multiplayer action.

Tetris DS - 5 - Yeah, its Tetris.

Puzzle Quest is one of my favs, lacks online play though which it should've had.

Puzzle Quest is fantastic. Puzzle Quest: Galactrix, not so much.

What, you want details?

Periodically unresponsive stylus control (mainly menus), frequent load screens, a heavily luck-based timed mode which is required to travel from area to area -- and those are only the items I consider to be egregious (no character classes this time is disappointing, but not necessarily a dealbreaker).

So yes, Puzzle Quest I consider a must-have title. The sequel I honestly could only recommend to die-hards, and even that's a tough sell.

Zelda - 5
Chrono Trigger - 4
Mario Kart - 4

Haven't tried GTA yet. I found Syphon Filter and FF7:Crisis Core for PSP and my DS has been collecting dust.

Don't forget to get a flash card for great convenience and so you can get the fantastic and FREE Lemmings DS.

EDIT: Amazingly, no one has mentioned Advance Wars: Dual Strike - 4/5.

PS: I do not condone piracy nor do I use my flash card for that purpose.

Megaman ZX 5/5 (I really liked it at least)
The World Ends With You 4/5
Dragon Quest 4 5/5 (I consider this a must for DQ fans, my fav in the series)
Valkyrie Profile :CoP 4/5 (I'm a VP fanboy though so take that into account here)
