Drying shoes in the clothes dryer...

Scarpozzi

Lifer
So when I bought my house I got a nice Kenmore stackable washer/dryer. With it came a wire rack that goes in the dryer for shoes, etc... The problem is, I didn't get the book that came with the unit and I don't know how this sucker works. Does anyone know how it works or where I could find a manual online? I have some shoes that need to be dried. 😀 Thanks,

-Scar

Set them out in the sun. Because the rack is probably impossible to install.
Looks like rain is in the forcast again... I may just grab the hair dryer when I get back from going out with my sexy babe tonight.

It's a weird rack because of the way it's shaped...not sure what it hooks on and how it works without the dryer spinning around and dragging it.

I had one for my dryer (not a kenmore). It fit over the lower portion of the entryway into the dryer (over the lint-trap).

I have a kenmore and you take the rack thing and hang the open end of it over the lint trap area...it's really not that hard to figure out. It suspends the rack in the middle of dryer. If you require further assistance, please consult a 6 year old.

/sorry just in one of those moods

useing the rack. put the heat on vey low or just air with no heat.

I'd just go with the no-heat air. Otherwise they'll get warped.

Plus, tear a fabric softener sheet in two, put each half in a shoe. That'll get rid of that funky scarpozzi foot odor. 😉

Man, how fast do you need these things to be dry? Putting them in front of an A/C vent might help, because the air coming out of the vent should be pretty dry.

Speaking of dryers, mine died today. I took it apart to figure out why the drum wasn't turning anymore, and it looks like the belt snapped and the idler pulley somehow got bent.

I checked for the parts online, and it looks like both parts would be $35 shipped. Do you think that it's worth that to fix a 20 year old dryer, or should I just get rid of it before something else breaks?
