No matter how much visine I drop onto my eyes, how much I sleep at night, or how little I spend watching TV or being on the computer, I can't seem to stop this uncontrollable blinking that occurs everyday to me. I'll just rapidly blink maybe 10-15 times in succession with no ability to stop. If I do try to force them open I'll just start blinking even more uncontrollably after a short period..any suggestions?

Stay off the visine.

Eat a banana. Lack of potassium can cause mussle twitching and uncontrolable blinking.

If that doesn't work see a neurologist

visine will just take that red out, limit itching. If your eyes are dry, it will probably further it.

Get artifical tears...there is a PM version for night use.

Now imagine if you had 8 eyes.

Sounds pretty serious and annoying. I'd see an eye doc asap. Your eyes are a precious thing.

Do you stare at a computer screen all day?

I've heard that it can cause you to (unknowingly) not blink your eyes for long periods of time, which eventually catches up with you later in the day or even during breaks, manifesting itself as itchy/blinky eyes.

Some people actually have this condition -- continuous dry eyes. There are some prescription medications that can help this.

I would try to find a solution for it asap as your eyes are pretty sensitive. Going to the doctor would be the best idea in this case.
