I know drwatson is a program by windows that reports your issues when you have a problem.. but here lately everytime I open a program it errors out and I get the error message.

IE, notepad, wordpad, paint, photoshop.. whatever.

if I restart it resolves the problem, but then it starts up again in an hour, or 3 hours.. it just started yesterday.. I also installed a new webcam yesterday (logitech quickcam pro 5000).. but I uninstalled it earlier and restarted my machine and it just happened a few seconds ago, so I don't think it's that?

if I look in the watson log error will it show me what's causing the problem maybe? I don't really know what to look for.

I do not think Dr Watson is going to help you. If you have a virus scanner and it is not running active I suggest a virus scan first. You may also want to do a F8 boot and then boot the system in the safe mode and see if the problem persists there. If the problem doesnt persist in the safe mode it may be a driver issue...if it does and you dont have a virus you may want to do another F8 boot and then have the system boot using the last known working configuration. If that doesnt work I would probably try to do a Repair Reinstall of the OS and see if it fixes the problem.

hmm.. actually I'm an idiot. I uninstalled the logitech software but not the driver.

while I was uninstalling the driver this time, I got that error about 10 times.. also this:

"Run a DLL as an App has encountered a problem and needs to close.. blah blah"

after it uninstalled, my system seems to be working fine.. I haven't got the error yet. of course it's only been a couple minutes since it's been uninstalled.. but I think this was the problem.

I had downloaded the latest software from logitech when installing my webcam. so I dunno.. I'm going to wait a while before I reinstall the software.. to make sure that's what it was. hopefully it doesn't happen again after I reinstall it though.
