DrWatson Program Debugger???

I'm getting random crashes with my computer. It's an Athlon64 300+, Chaintech VNF4U mobo running xp pro. It usually happens when I try to access windows explorer. It locks up and an error screen comes up saying that there is an Error with DrWatson Program Debugger..and then a little screen comes up saying that a critical error happened and my computer will be shutdown in 60seconds - along with a countdown timer. It doesn't always happen when I open windows explorer. Last night while playing world of warcraft the little timer came up saying there was a critical error and 60 seconds to shutdown. I'm confused. I've been around computers my entire life and this is a first for me. Any clues??

I had this and it was a virus. After updating XP it went away.
Try to update XP before your 60 seconds is up..real fun :-0

Dr. Watson is a software utility included with Windows. It is supposed to help detect errors in running applications. Its use dates all the way back to Windows 3.x, but it seems kind of obsolete these days. Thing is, it shouldn't report errors unless it is running, and it shouldn't be running unless you ran it. If it is running you should see a taskbar button or systray icon.
