drwatson keeps crashing

i'm running the computer for a while and then all of a sudden after I play a few songs and write some e-mails and open a few folders to check out some stuff, the system just stops responding and then I open up the task manager and I see drwatson, so I end the process and everything returns to normal except I lose a few running programs except for my virus scanning software and maybe my firewall.

can anyone help me configure drwatson so it doesn't do this anymore? or is it a completely different factor?

What OS?
Are you running 2K or XP on that ancient rig in your sig?
If so check the event viewer and give us additional details on the errors.

I used to get that myself.

I think the key thing is browsing folders. It would always happen when I opened a certain drive on my PC.

I never found a resolution, just reloaded my last ghost and everything was A-OK again. Ghost is the bomb, in under 5 minutes you can have a clean install.

DrWatson isn't crashing, Dr Watson analyzes programs after they crash.

i'm running winxp on a 2.53ghz p4 with 1.25 gigs of ram and plenty of disk drive space available, I'm not even running anything intensive anyway, probably bf2 or ut2004 are the closest progs to hardcore I run, and it still crashes sometimes even when I don't play any games at all. right now it's not crashing as much, but it used to a whole lot a few weeks ago, I'm not sure if it's certain things I do with how I use the computer but I'm runnin' winxp pro sp2 and I messed with the drwatson prog once before and I got it to stop bothering me, but that was random

any advice?
