Why do people drive drunk? Wouldn't you realize by now that it is not smart? Off duty cop in Brooklyn ran over a 8 month pregnant woman, her 16 year old sister and 4 year old son. All three dead, the baby was delivered alive, but is in poor condition.

I hope the guy goes to jail forever. How stupid can you be.

God that makes me mad.

He should be locked away forever, BUT, remember, even if he only gets 5-10 years, once his buddies in jail find out he's a cop, he's dead. (Jailhouse Justice is the best)

I hope he comes out with a prosthetic plastic a**hole..

I get a kick out of some people in this world.

No matter who drinks, if you drive, there's always a possibility of you hurting others, or even yourself.

SO WHY THE FSCK DO IT?

I just will never understand. I don't like alcohol anyways. I've had a few beers before and yuck. Looks like I'll be a social drinker.

Hmm... I always thought that Police Officers would be the most responsible when it came to drinking and driving... however as the scenario insists, I am obviously wrong in the matter.

I think that as a government official, you should be even more careful than a normal citizen so that you can set a trend for others to follow.

This officer obviously was too wasted or too egotistical to allow somebody to give him a lift home.

It's not that hard of a matter to prevent (drunk driving that is) - just always have a designated driver and always value safety over stubborness.

He is definitely going to get some time in jail... which is not where a cop would want to be locked up ;)

A couple of weeks ago 3 sisters and a brother if I remember correctly were driving home in Newfoundland from a wake of their other sister who had just died of cancer. On the way back a drunk driver in a truck hit them head on. All 5 died; passenger in drunk-truck is in a serious condition.

There was a story in the PB Post today about a woman who ran a red light and rear ended a cop. She was arrested for DWI. No deaths, or serious injuries, fortunately.
