This has got to be the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. I just watched the last 5 or so minutes and I cannot believe this was turned into a movie. Is it really worth checking out or are the last 5 minutes a pretty good indication of how bad the movie is? I'm not one to judge movies without having seen a good amount of them at least but I can't see how this could possibly be good.

Edit: Never mind, I guess it was the first five minutes. Holy crap does this suck.

Second edit: Never mind again, it really was the last five minutes. What a confusing ending. Now Wild Wild West is on. I puked in theaters when I went to go see it however many years ago, not sure if it was the popcorn or the movie but I remember hearing it was really bad.

I never bothered to watch it. We (=me and my friends on my high school's drumline at the time) knew it was gonna be crap when we first heard about it, long before it came out. :p

my dad is obessed with drumline...well, mostly the ending. If you just watch it for the drumbeats and not the story or anything, it makes it slightly more entertaining.

anyone who played in a marching band can appreciate the skill necessary to pull off shows like that. but the plot sucked.

The attitude of most of the people in there completely ruins the movie. The guy doesn't know SHIOT about drums and it shows to those of us who do. It's a completely horrible movie.

I was in Drumlines, including Drum corps, but i couldn't bring myself to watch the movie.

I heard it's quite literally like every sport movie out there, just with a drumline instead of a (insert sport team here).

Drumline is pretty good, especially considering what it was trying accomplish. Black College marching bands is huge. They have like this super bowl like event now. To try and make a movie to try and truly capture the spirit and nature of the competition is truly tough. Its like the old cliche pictures just don't do it justice. But there is no way anyone can watch the last 5 minutes and not like the the way those bands played. No way. Not anyone with an once of band knowledge. Not only was the drumlines tight, the steps were sweet too. But for some of yall they do have the Mummers, which might be more your speed, lol. :)

We actually agree on something.

But I also saw something else.

He lies and screws up by thinking he's entitled to everything. But instead of being rewarded for that, he takes his licks like a man and accepts being cut from the band. When offered a sweet deal to betray his band, he turns it down. The band leader sticks to his ethics and Devon is NOT allowed back on the line.

The ethics in the movie are very good. That alone made it a decent movie, in my eyes.

I enjoyed Drumline as well. The choreography and drum beats were great, and the plot, while generic, was enjoyable too.

my favorite part of the whole movie was the first day of rehersal when they did that introduction w/ the swing/jazz music.

So? Just because we disagree on one thing doesn't mean we can't agree on another?

I have watched it like 4 times. Read the credits after the show, they were really playing, so they do know something about drumming.

I enjoyed the movie very much. I don't know anything about marching bands or the drums but they kicked ass IMO.
