Drug problem...rehab?

I realized I have a drug problem. I want to stop, and think I should check into rehab. I don't have any money though. I live in SoCal. Anybody know of any kind of rehab that doesnt cost anything? I just need to get help.

Look in the phone book for any kind of free immediate counseling. They may be able to offer guidance or assistance.

Get yourself into NA. Find a sponsor.
There are also several community-based help groups that will offer assistance.
Normal "Rehab" clinics are often traumatizing and expensive. I speak from watching my now-deceased heroin addict brother go through all of it.

I'm glad that you realize you have a problem and want to get help. Most people never see it coming or choose to ignore it and end up dead.

Turn to your friends and family. Even if you are at odds with them now, you need them more then ever in your life, and you will find that their love, advice, and support are indispensable at this moment. Also, if you are open minded enough, you may wish to turn to God for help as well. Faith can bring about tremendous changes in an individual and help them accomplish more than they could alone.

just stop it dude
change friends (that helps a lot)

"Just stop it dude" ??? WTF he has an addiction problem. I can see you have NEVER been addicted to something in your lifetime. When someone is an addict they cannot just "stop it dude". It's nearly impossible to stop just like that.

What are you fighting?

How long have you had a problem?

You might be able to get a medical detox and start fresh that way ...

?

Edit: by start fresh I mean clean system that doesn't have the physical dependancy ...

"Marijuana is not a drug. I used to suck dick for coke. Now that's an addiction. You ever suck some dick for marijuana?"
"Boo this man"

This is why these forums suck for anything seirous. You have LordJezo being a fscking prick like usual except this time it isn't a joking matter. And then you have people like damiano that obviously are talking out of their ass.

Anyways, depending on your age and college status, a university counseling service may help. I know my school at least attempts to help people with drug problems. This is, of course, dependant on the religious affiliation of your school - most private schools won't have something like this. Is this an option, OP?

Rehab is good to clear the head a bit and break the routine of usage. But, it won't "cure" you.

You need to seek out NA. They aren't going to seek you.

I agree with NA. Find an AA meeting and ask about an NA calendar. They will have it. I had a buddy hooked on coke once. He got clean and then went to work with kids. His motto was "90 meetings in 90 days." He took kids to meetings that needed help. 90 meetings in 90 days is tough but doable it you're serious.

I'm not sure how serious you are.

If you're serious, 90 meetings in 90 days, get a sponsor, get clean.

May God Bless your good intentions!
