drudgereport.com so confusing, where to begin?

I wanted to find an alternative news site that would give me news other than the cnn drivel, so someone recommended drudgerepot.com to me. But looking at the home page, I don't even know where to begin. I don't have too much time to explore every single damn link on the page...

Do any of you all visit this site often, and have pointers on what's interesting to read/ where to begin?

Make sure your link is correct http://www.drudgereport.com/ many pages have similar names but are not it.

I just read the head lines and if it looks interesting, I read the story.

Well, although CNN does provide up to the minute news and coverage, I think it unfortunately follows the pack when it comes to in-depth reporting. You'll never get anything other than American opinion on CNN, and I'm sure you'll never hear news or segments that the network (or other typical network) would hesitate to air because of being too financially "dangerous".

The closest I guess on national tv is 60 minutes, which I respect a good deal.
