Dropped! new case time... PICs of damage included.

So I dropped my HAF 932 when transporting it from nerd gathering. Thankfully all the hardware survived and the loops did not leak (thank god for serious hose clamps). So the case did its job, however at a price. The whole case deformed.

Hard drive bays got bent. Thankfully in the HAF all the hard drives are suspended by some plastic pieces, those broke and the hard drives are all piled and twisted on top of each other. They all survived.

Expansion slot screw holes shifted back (away from the cards) and tore through the brackets on the video cards.

Motherboard mounts got bent. Thankfully everything survived and is functional, but I don't feel good leaving it like this for long. It is hard to show the flex of the motherboard via a picture. But you can see how the expansion cards aren't really lined up with the audio ports on the motherboard.

So my gut reaction last night was to put down an order for another HAF 932 and just swap everything into that. However I'd like to consider some other options. I'm willing to spend up to $200. Only requirements is that it fit a 3x120mm radiator and either at 2x120mm radiator or a 1x140mm radiator. I'll be trolling newegg myself to see what I can find, but I'd appreciate some input as well.

Dang 😱 that's crazy.

Definitely not worth the effort to attempt to salvage the case, like a car that is totalled in an accident, it will never have it's original structural integrity again even if you do manage to bend it back into shape.

I dropped a hard-drive once, it trashed it. I'm impressed your drives survived. Make sure you have backups, they may not be able to stick around for too much longer after being pancaked like that.

if they were off, i wouldn't worry too much.

ultimately went with a Corsair 800D. got it for ~230 after MIR and with free shipping. Seemed like a solid deal for such an excellent case.

Odd that 800D weighs a few kg more than 932 when it's both are full towers but the 800D is made partly of aluminium...

no u got insanely lucky.

one of the reasons why people change to watercoolers is because of the cpu sink.

looking at the damage of your case, if u had a tower sink inside during that drop, you could of kissed your motherboard goodbye.
