I've had the free 5GB dropbox for a couple years and set it up on perhaps 7 or 8 laptops, tablets and smartphones, but when I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.4 Pro they have a deal where they give you 50GB free dropbox and I want to know if there's any fine print to the deal? That is, is it free for a trial period and then you gotta pay? How does already having the 5GB free account affect getting this 50GB free deal?

Similarly, I fly a lot and there's another deal offering Gogo inflight wifi for free -- anything I need to know about this deal?

I think they give you +50GB(so you will have 55GB total) for 1-2 years(I don't remember exactly how many years the promotion is, but I think it's 2 years). After the promotion expires in 1-2 years, you won't be able to upload/sync any additional files until you either bring your account back to the 5GB limit to keep the "free" status OR upgrade to one of their premium accounts.

Not sure about the Gogo wifi part.

OK, so for the dropbox thing I don't need to create a NEW account I can use my existing account -- right? I mean, that's what it looks like but all too often there's fine print that you'd need to be a lawyer to know where to look...

It looks like the Gogo is limited to 36 flight, still better than nothing as I take about 100 flights/year.

Gogo wifi is so damn slow it's worthless. Cannot even browse anandtech forums. My 56k modem is much faster.

That might be true but if you're stuck in an airplane 100 times a year for an average of 3 hours each flight what choice do you have. Either Gogo or no go.
