Drop in 3DMark2K with beta drivers for Radeon???

Okay, I just installed the 7072 beta drivers for my Radeon DDR LE. I had previously been using the most recent "official" drivers from ATI (the 3056's I believe). After runnning 3DMark2K, I got a score of about 150-200 points less than what I had with the other drivers. From 4700 to 4530. Is that typical of these drivers and are they more stable or something? Also I got about 5160 on 16 bit color. Any ideas?

I went from 3056 retail drivers to the beta 7078 drivers on my Radeon LE. I noticed a similar ~100 point drop in 3DMark. But it does work out a few bugs from 3056.
