Drop down boxes unresponsive in firebird

I have to click them 2, 3, or 4 times to get them to open, whereas anywhere else (including the old forums), I just press the mouse button, the menu opens, and I can move down and let go on the item I want. No doubt this is related to some javascript trickery (the color stuff perhaps?)

Right now using Firefox under XP and it's fine. Will try it on Nix and OSX and see what happens and get back to you.

...Dennis

On the Mac under OSX and tried both Safari and Firefox and all works 100%. That is about as close to Linux I can get right now as my Linux box is apart getting upgraded.

Hm no, actually, it made no difference.

Must be CSS doing it... Sweet. 😀

edit: hm, I got the funky color changing forms to go away, but that didn't fix my problem.

very weird, I can't reproduce the issue on my version of firefox (0.8) or IE.

upgrade your java version to 1.4?

hey I just offer advice if you don't like it, or don't want to do it, thats your problem.

the feedback is helpful tho, it allows me to identify those who I shant waste time typing responses for.

Nothing personal, that's why there's a smiley. 🙂

There's simply no reason for a lack of java to affect something that has absolutely nothing to do with java. At least, IMO. Sure, anything's possible, but I'm not going to go trying what I judge to be nonsensical things, just because they're possible. The use of :active in the css seems like the most likely cause to me.

Same problem here.
Debian Unstable, Kernel 2.6.5, Firefox 0.8.
Same thing happens under Mozilla 1.6/GTK.

I have to click a few times to get the menu to work, but once it's "activated" it keeps working until I do a page refresh or go to another page.

Works fine under Konqueror 3.2.2/KDE 3.2.2.
