yeah, lets start seeing some 2160p hd resolutions.

I want to be in the 102 incher club?

Man a TV that big, a womans bush would look like the Rain Forrest......

I must admit I don't understand the business case for a 102" flat panel. The economics of building a glass substrate that large, along with the necessary tooling and materials... gah, it just boggles the mind. Then you have the problem of shipping such a large, fragile device. I would love to see that R&D money spent on projection technology using microdisplays. But damn that is a gorgeous display!
Two models measure Samsung SDI?s newly-developed 102-inch high-definition plasma display panel (PDP) during an unveiling event in Seoul, Thursday. The new unit is almost three times the size of the 42-inch model which is now the flagship model in the PDP market.

Huh? Are they getting PDP confused with LCD panels? The largest plasmas on the market are >60" diagonal.

We have a 72INCH Zenith at home and I gotta say it looks "ok", because of it's big screen size and low resolution picture (HD is apparently not high enough) it makes the picture look much worse than on small CRT Flat televisions.

Im guessing that thing is going for around 40 grand. Why not get a high quality projector for half that?

It's a 1080p native panel, 1920 x 1080.

You can get a 1080p projector for about $30k, plus another $5k or so for a silverstar screen.

Samsung had released a 80 " couple months ago for 45 grand
so u can only guess how much the 100incher will be
btw LGs 71" is 75 grand
