I must admit I don't understand the business case for a 102" flat panel. The economics of building a glass substrate that large, along with the necessary tooling and materials... gah, it just boggles the mind. Then you have the problem of shipping such a large, fragile device. I would love to see that R&D money spent on projection technology using microdisplays. But damn that is a gorgeous display!

Huh? Are they getting PDP confused with LCD panels? The largest plasmas on the market are >60" diagonal.

We have a 72INCH Zenith at home and I gotta say it looks "ok", because of it's big screen size and low resolution picture (HD is apparently not high enough) it makes the picture look much worse than on small CRT Flat televisions.

It's a 1080p native panel, 1920 x 1080.

You can get a 1080p projector for about $30k, plus another $5k or so for a silverstar screen.

so u can only guess how much the 100incher will be
btw LGs 71" is 75 grand
