Coming from outlook, I moved to Thunderbird with the combination of (Mozilla Thunderbird with Lightning, Provider for Google Calendar and Google Contacts.)

When I update my calendar on my pc, should it not sync with GOOGLE calendar online, and then sync to my phone? Because I don't see this happening at all.

does it sync to your online google calendar? if this isn't happening, then something is wrong between your desktop/google calendar sync.

if it syncs to your google calendar online, it should sync to your phone. make sure calendar sync is enabled on your phone (it should be by default)

settings>data synchronization>check calendar (and auto sync/background data)

This.

It sounds like a problem in Thunderbird's google calendar sync options. For some reason I didn't know Thunderbird could sync to Google Calendar.
I'm finally starting to make real use of Google Calendar thanks to ease sync on my phone, and have Prism for a distinct Google "app" that is my email program (Gmail) and has access to the Calendar. Web apps are neat when pulled from the browser and put in their own window.

By default, once logged in with the gmail account you do use for your Calendar and email, Android will push and immediately sync all Gmail and Calendar items.

I have google contacts, Lightning, Provider for google calendar all installed with thunderbird. If I open up thunderbird, click calendar, and add something........I do not see it added to google calendar online, nor on my phone. Ideas?
Gmail downloads fine with thunderbird.

I've never used Thunderbird, but it definitely sounds like the problem is between Thunderbird and Google Calendar. You won't get anything on your phone until your Google Calendar online has something added to it. For some reason, nothing is being added from Thunderbird.

Might check your Sync settings in Thunderbird in regards to Google Calendar.
Make sure you have your login credentials entered in Provider. Cannot begin to imagine the specific settings within Provider or Thunderbird/Lightning itself.

Just for the sake of doing it, try making an event on your phone, and then see if the web calendar updates with that info.
