Droid Bionic pics are leaking....

New info, it's a 4.5" screen!

That tiny phone next to the Bionic is the Atrix! :awe:

unless this thing ships with an unlocked bootloader so i can remove the shitware that is moto blur i will simply continue to ignore it

also its kinda huge

Yep Moto-locked-bootloader = fail. Even if this phone gave blowjobs and washed my laundry I'd probably still pass.

Ok maybe I wouldn't... but you get the idea.

Same for me. New design looks better than the old Bionic though. If Moto's had open bootloaders so their phones could be more easily and better customized, I'd be all over them.

Hopefully they'll release more info sometime soon. I want to get a new phone since my contract is up, and I really want to lock in the $30 unlimited data for my next phone.

But screen quality will be somewhat important, but bootloader is the first thing.
Motorola previously stated they would ship all their upcoming phones with unlocked, or unlockable, bootloaders.
Hardware specs will be important too - the whole reason I'm interested in this phone is the hardware inside - I want Cortex A9 dual-core (or better :awe🙂 for my next phone, single-core just isn't enough of an upgrade imho from my Droid (though more RAM would definitely be appreciated, 256mb isn't enough to optimally run Gingerbread).

If this phone is what I'm looking for, I wouldn't mind the extra screen size. It would also make up for a lack of physical keyboard, as a larger screen would make typing on the virtual KB that much easier over smaller screens.

Did a little relative comparison in PS using a X2 as baseline:

Not perfect but should give an idea as to how large it will be.

Infuse is 4.5" and thin. Can't tell if this is thin or thick.

In any case, it's surely locked, so pfft. Also, its release = doom for unlimited data.

N00b question but I have a droid X and what's the hatred of motoblur? Or what's the big downside to it.. I guess I'm just an average user since I don't "root" and so on..

Phone looks decent. Not sure bigger then 4.3 screen size is for me tho..

jeebus these things are huge, i cant see how anyone would want to have that on their person. maybe in a purse or something...i wouldnt even want it on my belt, thats why i got the desire (3.7") instead of the galaxy s last year: the galaxy is a little on the large side. those things are monstrous

Need unlocked bootloader
Need 4g
Need quality screen
Need high quality build (largest issue with the Charge)
Want dual core
Want lots of ram (more from the Droid 1)
Want hard buttons instead of touch (but not a deal killer)

Whichever is closer to those will be the phone I get. If the Charge had the build quality of the TB that would be my current pic. Unfortunately I think the TB, even with battery issues, is the best phone out there for me personally. Hopefully the Bionic will have all those features...

Shens.

Should be called the Droid: Retarded because thats what one would look like holding a 4.5" screen/phone to their head.
