Driving on the streets...

I have this tendency to drive faster, corner faster after I play some racing games....

Especially when you're driving alone, the car feels so much lighter and agile..

I just got back from barnes, found out that the new Toyota MR2 is only 2200lbs light. WHOAH!!! I want to feel how it's like driving that car. 2200lbs, with some turbocharging should give that car around 200hp.. Then it would be one hell of a fun car. 🙂

Need to train myself to hold my adrenaline back.. Someday, I'll make enough money I can blast off on a race track....

Whoah!!!

Heh. Think video games is bad, try autocrossing. I tried that once. Found it was a terrible influence on street driving (apex this, trail brake that). Made me feel like real race car driver the next day. Cept that real race cars have racing suspensions and super sticky tires. Street cars _usually_ are not made for taking 35MPH off ramps at 70MPH. Put it this way, I've slowed down on that off ramp ;(

"Please, tell us where you live so we can avoid driving there ... "

Heh.. I don't drive THAT crazy. I want to make sure I'm not driving near the limits of accidents. 🙂

"Heh. Think video games is bad, try autocrossing."

Not now.. Not in college. I want to autocross though 🙂

try leaving the track after doing the richard petty driving experience.....doing 136mph legally and then having to restrain yourself to 70🙁 that's some tough stuff

Ever since I first saw a commercial for that Petty thing I've wanted to go try it out. I know they have it down at Atlanta Motorspeedway. How much does it cost?

Another fun thing would be doing a track day at a local Road Course. Road Atlanta does em for $200/day or somethin along those lines. You use your own car and drive w/ instructor. Really no chance of contact cept maybe getting hub deep in gravel. I wanna do it sometime, but it seems I always need new tires or new brakes or new something whenever I find a couple friends that wanna go with me.

I'm not sure, but EXPENSIVE. 🙂

That's more reasonable. Although you have the risk of breaking your car.

Hehe... For now, I prefer racing against Porsches in a BMW M3 in Sports Car GT. Road Atlanta?? Sebring?? Lime Rock?? or Hockenheim?? This game kicks ass... Too bad I'm only using a keyboard. 🙁

That Richard Petty thing is EXPENSIVE! They have one near Disney World in Orlando.

It's $360 if you want to sit next to an instructor as he drives around the track.

It's ~$700 if you want to drive the car around the track for a few laps.

I figure most of the cost is insurance though.

hehe type-r's can corner, i can bust a 15mph turn at 65mph.

That's strange. First, my F355 can't pull 1/4 mile time like your Type R can.

Second, I'm taking a 15 mph turn at 55 mph on my F355, and the tires are already squeaking.

Heh. I guess I would have to trade in my F355 with one of these badass Type Rs.

So can my REAL type-r, that I got on accountz of da fact that my pops works at acura (lucky me).

I sold my Shelby Charger yesterday.. :< no more 2.2 turbo loving....

but I got a 96 Blazer! 4 wheel drive v6 lubings all around!!!
