Driving from Texas to LA

planning on a trip to LA from Austin. What do I need to know before I start my journey? Never had a road trip this long before...

drive west until you get to a large body of water , then go north until the sky turns dark from smog

Actually I just drove from Fla to Cali.
All you do is take I-10 and that will take you all the way to LA.
Make sure you follow I-10 to Phoenix and then it will go straight to LA.

Additionally, as CTrain would explain, lock your car stereo up in your trunk when you stay at a hotel and when you get to L.A.

Remember when I told you there was nothing to it? Glad all is well.

The boringest part is from San Antonio to El Paso...its a long trek with nothing along the way.

very true, but if you take a small excursion on TX-290 through Sheffield you get a beautiful overlook of the desert and surrounding mesas.

i once did Houston to L.A. Straight, by myself, no joke...most ridiculus drive ever, i took 2 naps in rest areas, took me just over 24 hours...and about 15 cups of coffee and 10 energy drinks

The gangsters that demanded you bring them the drugs from Houston. Did they let your brother go, or kill him anyway?
