i have a floppy disk that many years ago i compressed using windows drivespace (i think i was using win98). I currently run XP Pro and i cannot seem to "mount" the drive. Is there anyway i can access the info on the disk in XP? can i run some type of command line or something, or is my only salvation to seek a computer running win98?

i appreciate any help

I did a quick search and found these utilities

Scroll down and download the Drivespace 3 Disaster Recovery. I haven't used it, but it may help you recover the data from the floppy disk.

CMD at the Start, Run window. Copy A: to C:\ (previously made and named folder). Enter, remove disk and reboot. Go to your new folder and open it or you may have to copy it to another folder first so it can expand the file. The conversion back from DriveSpace should be available with that folder.

Ughhh, You may need to boot to the Win XP disk and use the recovery console. Some of these file things.....
