This is probably an unnecessary question, but I'll ask anyway as it might save me some time.
A year ago I upgraded from a Nvidia 9500GT to a Radeon 4850 and I ended up having to completely reinstall Windows, I was never conclusively sure what the problem was but I am nearly certain it was an inability to get the Nvidia drivers uninstalled.
I'm right now trying to decide between upgrading to a GTX 460 or a Radeon 6850, can I assume that if I upgrade to a 6850 that I will not have a similar problem? And if I went to GTX 460 is that likely that I would have the same problem again?
I had to wipe windows and reinstall just a couple weeks ago for an unrelated reason and am not looking forward to being forced to do it again
