i have win2k installed now and when i did a fresh install of winxp on my computer i had a old networkcard so there wasn't any drivers for it but there is in win2k so if i install win2k and then upgrade it to xp dos the driver that is installed still be there or is it lost?
 
Doesn't XP have drivers for every NIC under the sun? I'm surprised it didn't come up with any for yours. What make/model is your NIC?
 
You could install the drivers for Win2K (if you can find them) under XP. They are compatible.
