Drivers for old modem (Solved)

I'm trying to find some modem drivers that might work for Windows Server 2003. It's branded Smartlink, the chips say Voxelle SL3800/SL3801 but Google isn't turning up much.

Can any help me ID this modem?

Try here:

ftp://ftp.comelsoft.com/drivers/SEDNA/SL2800%20Modem/...WIN2K.../readme.txt

Smart Link 56K Modem Driver Version: 4.00.06 (C) 1998-2004 Smart ...

ftp://ftp.comelsoft.com/drivers/SEDNA/SL2800 Modem/...WIN2K.../readme.txt

3) This version of drivers is only compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Server 2003. 4) If any type of Smart Link modem is already ...

Maybe here as well:

Or look here and maybe post what you want to find:

Base the drivers on the main Chip!

If it is too old it may be 32 bit only.

If it was an old game I might suggest running it in compatibility mode.

Thanks for the links all, no luck yet. Closest seemed to be SLA56-V4.20.01-MV-WIN2K-XP32Bit.zip, it searched the directory for drivers but in the end still could not install

I actually had the modem installed on another PC (may be Server 2000, don't remember). Maybe I can use some utility to 'extract' the drivers from the old windows installation? Just googled and found this - http://www.grandutils.com/DriverExtractor/

That's a USB modem, correct? Why not plug it in, and then look up the HardwareIDs, and Google them?

Yes, and yes! This worked! Had no idea you can do this..

Device Instance ID
USB\VID_0483&PID_7554\7&C6E4ACC&0&1

Hardware Ids
USB\Vid_0483&Pid_7554&Rev_0210
USB\Vid_0483&Pid_7554

Googled and followed a trail of bread crumbs...

Edit: Thanks all once again

I'm getting these strange beeps when trying to receive a fax: https://clyp.it/w1z2f1a4. Never heard anything like this when trying to receive a fax.

I'm testing the modem with the built in Fax program in Windows. Driver issue or hardware?

I'm about to give up and just buy a newer modem with proper Win 10 driver support, assuming they exist
